About Inna Satyah Yoga & Well-Being

Inna Satyah Yoga & Well-Being was founded by Dr. Raquel Wright-Mair (E-RYT 200 & RYT-500). Raquel is an Associate Professor of Higher Education, her mission is to foster a space—beyond physical walls—where people from all walks of life can connect with their practice, feel valued, and explore their inner truth.

Raquel is committed to breaking down the barriers that too often prevent people from accessing yoga’s healing powers.

A Practice Without Expectations

At Inna Satyah, we believe yoga should meet you exactly where you are. That means no judgment, no pressure—just an opportunity to explore your breath, body, and inner awareness. Raquel’s approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that the “power within” will look different for every individual.

Her classes draw from various limbs of yoga—not just asana (movement), but also breathwork, meditation, self-reflection, and mindfulness—woven together to support transformation and healing.

Where Academia and Embodied Practice Meet

As a scholar and educator, Raquel has spent her career advocating for social justice and transformative leadership. These values are woven into her yoga offerings, creating a practice that is both grounded and expansive.

Her work explores how we can heal and grow—individually and collectively—through reflection, movement, and deep presence.

The Meaning Behind “Inna Satyah”

During her first yoga teacher training, Raquel connected deeply with the Sanskrit word “Satya,” meaning truth. She also felt a unique personal connection between this Yama and her native Jamaican Patois. The phrase “inna satyah” is her way of inviting you to embrace your truth with grace and confidence.
